This interview was recorded at Villa Pacchiani, in Santa Croce sull’Arno [Italy] on the occasion of Irena Lagator Pejovic’s beautifully set exhibition Limited Responsability Society (s.r.l), a show curated by Ilaria Mariotti.

 

The artist has been elaborating her analysis of art as social strategy in order to suggest the potentialities of the unlimited responsibilities of each and every one of us; the risks and the effects of adopting limited responsability in our daily life.

After graduating in 1999 in graphic design, and graphic art at University of Montenegro, Irena Lagator Pejovi? spent a year at l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Le Mans in France. She later completed her PhD studies in Interdisciplinary and Multimedia Art at University of Art in Belgrade. She represented Montenegro at the 55th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia (2013) with her solo show Image Think.
