Dan Perjovschi - Consciousness of irony

INTERVIEWS

Novembre 2008. We met Dan Perjovschi at the Contemporary Culture Center Strozzina right before his artist talk in the context  of the exhibition Money Price Value.

Born in 1961 and educated in the Romanian socialism system, Dan Perjovschi create works that reside at the nexus of art, society and politics. He is internationally renowned for large and small scale drawing installations of hundreds of cartoon-like figures that comment on local, national and international cultural and current affairs.
Our conversation with him did not move directly from the work he realized in Florence, but form what happened at the Venice Biennale of 2007.

The interview was recorded in a bar and the music comes from the compilation Two Zombies Later published by Comfort Stand Recordings.
