Some call it sound-art, new music, research sounds, acoustic experimentations or liminal sounds, we just call them Pepite, golden nuggets: tips on sound research, precious bits of our programming. Each week we select few Pepite and highlight them into our free from streaming.

The frozen siberian wave passed over leaving some ice into our bones, thus we try to melt it with warm winds and cold tones, perfect contradictions for this week golden nuggets that enrich the streaming with some (pure) songs about cold.

Fear of the unknown and the blazing sun by Colin Stetson.

A much needed tribute to one of the best albums of 2011, one year exactly from its release. This track is taken from Stetson's album New History Warfare: vol.2 and here we listen to some of his experimental saxophone work featuring the spoken-word contributions of Laurie Anderson and My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden.

Amazing Backgrounds by Eric Chenaux.
Eric Chenaux is one of Canada's most respected and long-standing experimental guitar players and songwriters. This track is taken from what could be considered his first 'solo' album, minimalist, almost crude: Lotus Plaza.

Frozen by Tindersticks.
