Pepite 11 - Feat. The Land of...

Season One

ARCHIVE

Some call it sound-art, new music, research sounds, acoustic experimentations or liminal sounds, we just call them Pepite, golden nuggets: tips on sound research, precious bits of our programming. Each week we select few Pepite and highlight them into our free from streaming.

The Land Of  is a netlabel aiming at exploring the beauty of everyday sounds. We devote our weekly Pepite to their effort, by presenting three diverse and articulate albums:

Tube Overtures by Gutta Percha
Tube Overtures is Brent and Ryan Hibbett’s debut album. The two American brothers weave together environmental sounds, field recordings and lost melodies to bring our familiar soundscape onto another and unexpected level.

Above the Winter Oaks by Pawn
Japanese sound artist Hideki Umezawa, aka Pawn, features reverberation, carillon kind of sounds, vibraphone and metallic sounds to stage ambiguous and unsettling atmospheres.

Camaraderie
Born of the collaboration between sound recordist My Fun, designer Kimberly Ellen Hall and poet John Ira Ebersole, this album is a collective experimental project commissioned by the netlabel The Land Of.
