As part of Touched, the International exhibition for the Liverpool Biennial 2010, The Human Stain is an emotional journey through the inner labyrinth of the Self. It comprises the works of Oren Eliav, Tim Eitel, Y.Z. Kami, Csaba Róka, Edi Hila, Aime Mpane, Markus Schinwald and Zbynek Sedlecky, a group of artists who – in a very formal way, by painting – question the relationships between the individual and the collective, the social dynamics that legitimate every form of exclusion, ghettoization, shame and guilt.

Oren Eliav, Untitled, oil on canvas, 2007.

Lorenzo Fusi, curator of the exhibition, presents the artists ‘who – he says – by adopting a rather seductive pictorial language, deal with political and social phenomena nonetheless'.

The interview is in Italian.
