"I have been looking into laser monitoring systems - which were developed for covert observations in order to extend surveillance into rooms which cannot be accessed - by using a laser to pick up micro vibrations on panes of glass and converting the vibrations into audible sound.
As I am currently building a laser microphone, the sound pieces which I present here are my first experiments with it. This has taken a lot longer than expected but it is an entirely new approach to working with sound that I am developing for my upcoming project at Kunsthalle Basel, next January 2021".
