Pepite 36 - Sound is Art by Margaret Noble

Season Two

ARCHIVE

Some call it sound-art, new music, research sounds, acoustic experimentations or liminal sounds, we just call them Pepite, golden nuggets: tips on sound research, precious bits of our programming. Each week we select few Pepite and highlight them into our free from streaming.

And so the white bunny went by...

The first golden nuggets come from Sound Is Art, the sound archive and blog curated by Margaret Noble, american artist whose interdisciplinary work resides at the intersection of sound, sculpture, installation and performance.
Here is how the artist describes her archival project: This site explores and archives the many questions, compositions and ramblings of sound that listeners and creators experience. From abstraction to music, all forms of sound art and experimental recordings will be presented here...Sound is Art showcases recordings from around the world... I am a sound artist. I run this site to give back to the artist community and to honor the beautiful sound work that often goes unheard

And here we are to homage her work with our Pepite selection:
