Pepite 13 - Unexpected sounds from Germany and Denmark - Hundreds & Jesper Bodilsen

Season One

ARCHIVE

Some call it sound-art, new music, research sounds, acoustic experimentations or liminal sounds, we just call them Pepite, golden nuggets: tips on sound research, precious bits of our programming. Each week we select few pepites and highlight them into our free from streaming.

A week dedicated to dream pop and electronics:

I love my Harbour by Hundreds
Dream electro-pop from Germany; Hundreds are siblings Eva and Philipp Milner, among the most interesting emerging musicians in the new German music scene. I love my harbour is taken from their latest album Hundreds.

Pigen der fløj by Jesper Bodilsen
Let's move to Denmark with Short Stories for Dreamers, the latest work by the Danish bassist Jesper Bodilsen, able to combine his virtuosism with poetry and aural stories.

Empire by Barbara Panther
Out of the label City Slang’s collection, we decided to include something from Barbara Panther's debut album: pop, electronic but mainly eclectic. She's from Rwanda, she lives in Berlin and she is able to create a weird pop mix - we do really love - out of apparently distant rhythms and sounds.
